Ha! I had an ancient lit class at Stevens taught be a full-blown femi-nazi. I actually received a failing assignment grade (an extra one, no assignment involved) for daring to suggest that Achilleus' and Agamemnon's treatement of Briseis in The Iliad wasn't evil, because it should have been judged by the mores of Mycenaean Greece rather than our own.
My dad had a teacher like that when he went back to UNI after I was born. The teacher failed him because he, 'subjugated a woman into limiting her social growth, and forced her to bear his child' or some bs like that.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Started a new painting. I'm excited about this one, it's been a while since I've felt the urge.

I work with literally a lot of different mediums, not just painting. However, I'm broke.... so acrylic.

Yet, instead of building up my canvas with unused paint from my palate, I've..... P just walked in, he got carded today. Go P. any way I've been using (don't laugh) sheetrock putty. This isn't the best thing to use, it weakens from the moisture of the water. However, Gesso is so damn expensive it is hard to use as much as i need to give me the desired effect, plus it takes too long to dry when thick. So I used the putty, then put a layer of thin Gesso over it....It works!!!!

Any way my stuff is kinda like the works of Drew Struzan, yet less cartoonish.

Here are a couple of examples, however it seems that my best work gets stolen or left behind somehow...

A portion of Tak's View. You can't see the ocean and the cliff in this pic, yet this is one of P's favorite paintings.

Shedding Skin

Both of these are now missing. :madashell:

I loved that one with Jas. I intended to buy it from you and put it up in my room. :(

Unfortunately that is a matter of opinion, thanks though. And yeah, a friends house got robbed, and believe it or not, they took my paintings. :? The paintings were there temporarily to show a few people. Nuts right?

Like I said it has been a while, and I'm excited about the potential of this piece.

Good luck Uzume... I'm sure it'll turn out fantastic, inspiration can be wonderful. Something that can't be rushed either, reason I'm not going into graphics design for college, mainly because I need to be inspired to do it, and if I'm not I simply can't. So therefore I'm making it my minor study...

Fucking contractors. Their a rope access company (ie. they do work in hard to reach places while hanging from a rope, industrial mountaineering if you will) and the assholes want to charge me for "equipment rental." They're a fucking rope access company and they want to charge me rental on ropes? Then they want me to pay mileage for driving a truck from fucking Nova Scotia as well as a daily rate for the truck? It's just a fucking truck. Rent one, slap a magnetic sign on the side, and don't charge me $1,100 for a generic truck. Then they want me to pay $48.00 a damn hour for 43 hours for the time it took the guy to drive it down here as well as paying for his plane ticket to fly to where the truck was? Excuse me but FUCK YOU.

Dude, WTF? Luckely the next subsided item you didn't notice was the fee for the cleaning of "soilded protective undergarmets"
