1623 Day 1

" Yes Ma-am, anything you say doll." Sensi, and Toke-a blew the Commissar a kiss before heading for the starport entrance. Sensi noticed Crank staring at them and threw him a wink. Toke-a slapped Sensi on her firm ass; crack! , the sound echoed off the polished concrete walls of the building.

The girls straightened up and began scanning the place.

Buck and Boar took up positions around the commissar. Boar seemingly lost in his mind. Buck growling at the two women who fail to show respect for the commissar. "I break them if you want!" Buck said looking at the commissar but pointing at the scouts.

"No," Intias said while shaking her head. "Not now." Her eyes were glued on Sensi as she rode away.

Buck nodded. "We keep eyes on them though right?" Growling at the girls a short bit. "I no trust them."

Boar's stomach grumbled. Partly from hunger, partly from the small piece of metal stuck in him. "We eat soon?" Buck reached over the commissar and back handed Boar. It would have crushed any human's skull, Boar just only noticed it.

Raltus noticed another pair of soldiers arrive, and motioned to Zenthia. The motioning was not that necessary, as a loud 'crack' echoed around the area. Taking a combat position, he pointed his lasgun in the direction of the noise, and began scanning for potential threats. He saw two troopers heading in, and they didn't appear to be a threat.

Then again, that crack didn't exactly sound like a weapons discharge either. He needed to find out more about what was going on.

Litila in the meantime was going over the datastacks, attempting to find old hangar locations, components that could be assembled. Various locations had suggested themselves, but she had decided to grab the complete list, instead of having to return after each inspection. With the final rituals of data access complete, she stood up, looking at Hilda. "Data retrieval complete. Twelve candidate locations selected, and arranged in optimal search pattern. We need to depart, to ensure we are not left behind by the fleet."

With that, Litila beganheading down the steps, comparing the map to the view of the spaceport, so she could provide correct directions.

1623 Day 1

"Before we start searching, I need to send word back to my Commissar," Hilda put in as she followed Litila back down the stairs. "Do you actually have any real hope of success in this plan, or is this merely our last option?"

1623 Day 1

Jastilus crouched in a shallow crater a few meters behind the rest of the group. He had no desire to be anywhere near a fire magnet like the Commissar or her pet Ogryn. He smirked as he looked around the wreckage of the street. The stupid sheep had rioted and started to destroy their own world, the Guard helped of course. Funny because the world had been sucked dry over the centuries and now the people who lived here were trying to finish off what little remained. And they wondered why they were being left behind. They were too stupid to be worth the effort to move them. Snorting in amusement he scanned the area to their rear, the people may have dispersed but they could still come back.

Litila made a note that the shuttle would need capacity for at least five passengers, if not more. "How many personnel will we need to transport to the fleet? Without functioning comms this option is the one with the highest probability of success. Other options such as teleportation require rituals that I do not have access to, and the necessary equipment has a one in 6.37 million probability of being left behind."

1623 Day 1

"Besides us and the Commissar? Three ogryn and a handful of chem-dogs." Hilda answered. She paused at the base of the stairs. Through the partly open door into a sideroom, she had just caught sight of something. "Hold on," she said, walking over and pushing the door all the way open. On the wall of the room, a set of large maps hung.

"I require an accurate number on the total personnel, and their mass. Otherwise we might not have enough fuel in the shuttle to reach the fleet, or if we take too long finding excess fuel, the fleet will leave without us."

(OOC: I wouldn't mind continuing this one, but I can transfer my Tech-Priest over to the other plot line.)

1629, Day One

Crank watched Hak move about with the lack of grace typical for someone from... well, from anywhere besides Fedrid. He rolled his eyes, completed his sweep of the starport's gate area, then waved Hak back towards Intias' position. He trotted back about halfway, then whistled and called. "No need to wait behind that truck, your commissar-ship. Ain't nothing around but the airfield... and precious little of that left, too."

Intias nodded, choking down the sudden spike of disappointment/fear at that statement. It was probably too much to actually hope there was a shuttle still on the pad fueled up and ready to go. "Alright, bounding overwatch. 'Dogs first, everyone in the starport," she said.

1629, Day One

"'Dogs first?' Huh - never heard that before," Crank muttered sarcastically. With another wave, he halted Hak from continuing back towards the commissar's position, and instead sent him forward to the far gatepost. Jogging up to the nearer, left-hand gatepost, he rounded the column and swept his lasgun through 180 degrees in front of him. He waved back toward the rest of the unit, gesturing for them to move forward and leapfrog his position.

1623 Day 1, Hilda

"Well you'll just have to wait and weigh them when they show up," Hilda said distractedly as she moved into the sideroom to take a closer look at the maps. They displayed an area some 1,000 km around the 'port, dotted with cities and settlements. "Hey, take a look at this," Hilda says, running a finger across a string of locations marked with the Adeptus Mechanicus symbol. "None of the roads lead to any of these places," she observed.

1629, Day One, Hak

Hak gave an exaggerated sigh at Crank's back-n-forth, but he fell into his place in the advance.
