Nickswitz wrote:It's not the same actually. The difference is that when someone plays a videogame they are very often not psychopathic, or insane, pedophiles, almost always are mentally damaged, and thus cannot fully understand societial norms... Because of that, they don't see their want for children as wrong. A normal kid playing GTA doesn't usually have to think twice to realize that there will be consequences if they went out in real life. A pedophile sees a kid in skimpy clothes in a magazine and thinks that because it's advertised it should be alright to do what he wants to do with kids. He doesn't realize that it is wrong in the eyes of society.

And most of the people who are pedophiles have a damaged brain, the center that tells them what's right or wrong, it's like giving a ex-drinker a bottle of alchohol and expecting him to be able to stop after the first drink... some can, most can't...
You got proof that most pedos have some kind of mental issue? And I won't accept "being turned on by little kids" as proof. Cause that's a big statement to make, that being a pedo goes hand in hand with mental disorder.

It's not the fact that they are the pedophiles that makes them mentally unstable, its actually the other way around. They usually have a mental disorder and become a pedophile later. And especially if they are abused as children, and I will have to find the articles, right now I don't have the time to look it up, but once I do I will find them for you...

I can't find anything about the connection between mental disorders and pedophilia. However it is classified as a mental disorder as well, which is why many child moesters get sent to the psych ward, but yes, and I will look again to find the article I looked at before, but it is a classified mental disorder, but many times it is accompanied by schizophrenia a/o a sexual disorder.

And do realize I'm not 100% sure the grounds on which they were procecuted, but I vaguely remember hearing that someone was arrested because he was in posession of very life-like child pronography, while it wasn't real it looked like it was, (and no, IIRC he wasn't arrested b/c the officers thought it was in fact real they knew it wasn't from the start)
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Well, as someone before said, someone was arrested for having cartoon child porn, it isn't how real it is, the offender doesn't care, he can imagine it looks however he wishes it to look in his mind... It's having it as a "blueprint" for his fantasies....

There is not a problem in this world that can't be solved without the proper application of a sufficient number of thermonuclear ordnance.

Yes, but how can you legislate against that? It's like penalizing an alcoholic for having a bartender's recipe book, or a picture of a bottle of booze.

Exactly. You can't legislate how people think. Hell, this isn't even trying to legislate what people think. It's what people could potentially think.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that.
There's a definite similarity there.

That's a great pic of the Cobra-class, BTW. Nice shot of the lances.

There's also a rather cool shot of an Infidel raider. Sadly, those three pics are all that seem to exist of good BFG art. :(

I've got a few on my HdD, nothing like this more the propaganda style B&W pics. I'll put them if anyone is interested.

What are those little ships with the Tempest though?

It would have been glorious. Probably the only instant were I wouldn't have objected to a little penny-crunching.
