So, I've got the Angelus (accurate to boot, WOHOO!) for blowing holes in thingss that are tough. A las carbine for general work, and a pump shotty for close in work. If things get horribly desperate I've also got my flail and revolver. I think I'm really going to have to start replacing weapons instead of collecting them.

Also, is there any actual in game benefit I can get with all the techpriest mumbojumbo? Can I really 'talk' with machine spirits or bless things to provide real results, or is it all fluff and flavor elements?

In game terms there doesn't seem to be any benefit. I mean I like it and all, it's good RPing but it looks like mostly BS. Which it is in the novels and stuff too.

What kind of range does it have?

With 2d10X damage.

100m before range penalties kick in. Long range is double this figure (200m) but with a scope you ignore range penalties if you take a full action to aim. The hunting rifle has a longer range but not as much damage.

Edit: Oh, theres the Nomad penis compensator elephant gun (500m long range) but that's vary rare.

Damn. That's 10 damage on average, with how much Pen? And up to 300 meters at extreme range there. Yeah, a good scope to turn that into Death with a long reach.
