There's one rate: fast. You can control your path to the extent that if there's something in the way you can avoid it. It can also be set to just power on at a set altitude so you don't thunder in cause you forgot to activate it. That'll probably be what will happen here is one of the guardsmen will set it.

Kendall - what sort of limits do we have on what we can requisition from the QM? I mean, I'd love to ask him for a set of light power armor and a force sword... but from a player perspective, obviously I don't want to (and you won't let us) break the game. Are there Basic SP weapons available, and if so am I limited in source (per the IH world types) a/o availability code? Also, what type of armor can I ask for?

I'm going to say that anything listed as Average and below will be available. So Average-Common-Plentiful-Abundant in the rulebooks. I looked at the stats of your adversaries this morning and you'll be needing some oommph.

I will however permit one item each that wouldn't be on there, like a force sword, mesh armour etc. Keep in mind that if you ask for a boltgun/bolter you might end up with something unexpected.
