I like it because it continues a modified design lineage of the Sov and a bunch of other fan ships from the same period have similar style.

It just looks like it's missing a bit out of the middle.

Yeah...to be honest I do not particularily like that design lineage. The Sov was ok I guess but I rather see a possible sucessor to the galaxy class.

Really strange, when first seen during First Contact I thought the Sov was the most beautiful ship of Trek ever but with the years the more I look at her the less I like her quite the opposite to the galaxy, which I found rather ugly in the past.

I guess I'm the odd one out, since I find every ship beautiful (at least the ones within reason, Frankenstein and worst fan ships don't count). Even the Ambassador.

The Constellation class too?
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

The Ambassador is an ok ship imho, not especially beautiful or ugly but I do like the original Probert concept of the Ambassador which is really a nice step between E-B and E-D, shame they never used it.

To be honest I think she is one of the more sucessfull kitbashes as in you must look twice to see that it is mostly made out of constitution parts. That said even if not especially beautiful there are many original designs looking far worse imho.

I like the Century class that was posted as well. Yeah it's pretty flat but that's the way Starfleet's been headed for something like 150 years of in universe time.

To be honest the Century doesn't look that bad if viewed from the top. (Altough the nacelle pylons could use rework).

It is just that the secondary hull looks to much like the Intrepid one - aka fat and ugly - and reaches to far into the saucer for my taste.

(Also I am a sucker for a neck which is once more missing. No it doesn't make sense but it gave the UFP ships an unique look imho)

There is not a problem in this world that can't be solved without the proper application of a sufficient number of thermonuclear ordnance.

Ah ok. Is this the "official" contest winning version?
