1123 Day 2

"Er, right. Good." Karibi answered vaguely. "Well, since you're here, we could use your help." The Adept pointed at the door and readied his revolver meaningfully.. "Would you do the honour?"

1123, Day Two

Trask readied his own stub auto and directed it to cover the guardsman, but said pointedly, "Remember - our companions could very possibly be in there. Let's hold off on the wild sprays of gunfire."

"Of course." Octavian said and took a few steps back from the door then ran forward kicking outwards with his weight hoping to bust it open.
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

1123, Day Two -

"Wait!" Trask commanded. Naja halted mid-stride, a step away from reaching the door. "Look," Milo said, indicated the small indicator lights in a recess in teh door jamb. "Det plate in front of the door, and one rigged to the latch. They're vox-operated, but I've seen similar control mechanisms for secure areas on Navy ships. Let me see if I can remember..." Milo closed his eyes in concentration for a moment. Blue sparks of energy began to arc across his body, then a flash occurred and Trask was tossed like a rag doll. The outburst of psychic energy threw him 8 metres in the air. He landed roughly on his back.

He stood unsteadily a moment later, with a trickle of blood running from the corner of his mouth down the side of his coppery goattee. He shook his head, looked at the lock for a minute, and said foggily, "That did the trick. I've got it now." Trask proceeded to depress a couple of specific runes by the indicator lights while chanting a quiet litany to the machine spirit of the trap circuit.

1124 Day 2

Karibi looked at Trask in alarm, but decided not to say anything. When the psyker had finished working, he turned to Naja.

"Right," He said. "Now let's get going."

Phebia nodded to Pahr's suggestion. "How close are they to being able to summon it, who are they, and how might this involve our witch friend the Seer?"
1124 Day Two:

"Less then a week most likely. Our info points to a corrupt individual somewhere in Stern Hope, probably highly placed. And The Seer has been acting odd lately according to info we received from his master, he's also obsessed with the tarot deck he received from the new Bishop. Won't let anyone see them, we suspect that he's being used somehow to facilitate a summoning. He'll probably end up being sacrificed."

"Sacrificed you say? Well maybe we should just kill him ourselves," she said offhandedly. "How can we contact you if we do need help at Stern Hope?"

"I will provide you with a vox and the appropriate frequency to use. It will also have a beacon, that if you choose to use will allow us to find you."

"Fair enough," Phebia said extending her hand, obviously expecting the vox immediately.

1124 Day Two:

The agent nods and one of his men approaches from his corner and drops the vox into Phebia's hands before returning to his station. The agent digs in a pocket for a few seconds before handing over a slip of paper, "here is the frequency we will be monitoring. Even if it is to dangerous for you to transmit voice, simply activate the beacon and we will assume you require aid and come to assist."

Phebia took the vox and hooked it on her belt. She accepted the slip of paper and looked it over before tucking it inside her chestplate. "Very well. I trust that if you come across any additional information you'll share it with us?"

Phebia nodded curtly. "In the future remember that asking politely can produce results without the need to threaten lives first. I would have regretted killing you."

Enrick grunted at the Agent, his fingers twitching over his shotgun and sword. "I wouldn't."

As the door opened Octavian rushed in with surprising speed for his age. A guard rushed up to prevent them entrance but a quick punch to the face stunned the guard long enough that Octavian was able to wrangle his arm backwards enough to slap some cuffs onto him. Afterward Octavian slammed his head against the hallway wall to silence him. "Let's make haste." He told the others.
