It takes Haxta a moment to fit her mind around the men's words, their accents and the effects of drink making it difficult for her to understand them.

" Sorry to intrude," she tries in her best diplomatic tones. " We merely wished to inquire if you might have had...certain difficulties when you arrived."

The first one rambles out and then takes a large gulp of his brew, letting out a loud belch as he finishes.

" I see..." Haxta replied, still having to concentrate hard to make sense of the man. " Then you haven't had any trouble with..." her eyes cut meaningfully towards the cultists.

1105 Day Two:

The third man cleared his throat, "them lot? No, they pretty much keep to themselves. They get paid to unload and load our cargo lifters, sometimes they swipe something off us but otherwise their OK."

800 - Day Two.
Enrick stood in front of the black smith. The old man and his apprentice looked over the sheet Enrick had slid over to them. "You want this?" this the young apprentice asked, his eyes bugged.

The old man laughed at his apprentice. "Of course we can boy, of course we can." Looking up at Enrick the old man grinned. "Cash or trade?"

Enrick laid an open bag on the counter. An axe, loaded stub revolver and ten thrones. Enrick slid the bag over to the smithy. "A little of both. I'll need a cover for it as well. Something that won't standout to much."

The old smithy took the bag and put it behind the counter. Not even bothering to look through it all. "It will take about an hour. I'd suppose you'd want it made out of something strong."

Enrick nodded lightly. "As strong as you can get."

The smith whispered something too the apprentice and sent him off. "I've got just the thing. A fresh piece of scrap. It used to be part of a tractor blade." The old man smiled wide... "Not like anyone else would ever buy the damn thing. It will take a little while though. Give me two hours."

Enrick let out a short laugh. "I can wait." In the back round he could hear a cutting torch spark up. "I'll wait over there."

1000 - Day Two.

The smith came out with a large fabric satchel wrap. Dropping the wrap on the counter, the smithy waved Enrick to him. Enrick got up off the floor and stood over the counter. The smithy reached in a few centimeters and slowly dragged out a sword by its grip. Resting the large blade on the counter the smithy smiled. "Its a weapon that will greatly suit you. Forty centimeter hilt with a twenty centimeter cross guard and a one hundred twenty centimeter blade." Pushing it lightly towards Enrick. "Give it a feel son. Tell me what those hands of yours feel."

Enrick picked up the weapon. The heavy weapon felt wonderful in his grip. His lips stretched wide in an almost evil grin, his teeth grinding as he let his arms feel the weight. "Beautiful, its beautiful."

The apprentice, somewhat worried at the looks coming from his master and customer. "I uh... umm, I made the wrap to cover over the scabbard and above hilt and fitted it with cheap ground blanket. You can wrap anything you'd like around it and even pin stuff to it. Anyone looking at it should only see whatever you have on the outside of it."

Enrick put the weapon back in its hold. "Thank you sir for your fine work."

The smithy laughed. "Don't worry too much boy. You paid your due on this. Come back if you ever want some more so long as you can afford it."

Enrick picked up the case and slung it over his shoulder. "I wouldn't mind that. That or some work if you ever get some."

The smithy smiled. "Trying to replace my little apprentice here boy?" The apprentice's eyes bugged yet again.

Enrick laughed. "Not a chance sir, just looking for some pay." Enrick dropped a mailing address on the counter and walked out of the shop. Looking in the distance he could see where his friends had gone on to. So he made his way in that direction. "If this mission falls to hell I'll need something to cover me until pick up. Some fair pay wouldn't be too bad either. Emperor knows these cheap bastards don't pay much."

Phebia saw Enrick emerge from the shop and waved towards him. She carefully marked her place in her book with a ribbon before closing it reverently and putting it back in its pocket.

1105, day two

Haxta regarded the man for a moment, but he seemed sincere enough. " I see, well then, thank you gentlemen, sorry for interrupting." Seeing little else to gained at the moment, she was certainly not up to trying and approach the cultists herself, Haxta made for the bar's exit, pushing her way out onto the street.

1105 Day Two:

As Haxta exits the bar a dirty local child approaches, "''scuse me miss? The smith sent me to tell you that your friends items are ready. He had more free time then he thought, so they are done ahead of schedule." The child smiles, tips his hat and heads back into the crowded streets.

Haxta stared after the child for a moment, completely nonplussed. What smith? How had the child known and found her, and why her? Before she could think to question the odd comment, the child was gone though. Walking slowly over to where Phebia sat, Haxta took up a position leaning against a wall.

Phebia watched Haxta talk to the child and walk to where she was sitting. "Well, find out anything interesting?"

" Nothing really," Haxta admitted. " Other than appereantly some smith is done with my friends' items."

Pahr's head snapped up at the mention of the smith, and he took off at a run toward the shop. He had grown more accustomed to the bright light and the heat at this point, and deftly slipped past the grimy crowds without slowing.

A moment later, he arrived at the weaponsmith, and strolled to the counter. The smith nodded to him, " Here ya are. Best work I've done in a while."

Pahr's matte black sword wasn't noticeably different looking, but as he held it up and examined it more closely, he could see the change. He nodded, and returned it to it's sheath, then pulled his data-slate from his belt. He scribbled a short message, and a few words, then handed it to the smith.

" You're welcome. And no, I can't release the other fellow's sword to anyone but him. I'll not be accused of any double-cross." He handed the slate back. Pahr nodded, returning it to his belt before bolting back out the door, and toward the bar.

Haxta watched Pahr run off without a word, now definitely feeling like she had missed something. "...anyway, I think the only way we're going to learn anything is either to wait for the cultists in the bar to leave and then follow them, or go in there and demand some answers at gun point."

"Personaly, I'd opt for the more subtle aproach." Marco said, leaning casualy against a wall. "If they're armed, then marching in with guns drawn will just provoke a shoot-out."
"You've all been selected for this mission because you each have a special skill. Professor Hawking, John Leslie, Phil Neville, the Wu-Tang Clan, Usher, the Sugar Puffs Monster and Daniel Day-Lewis! Welcome to Operation MindFuck!"

11:07 - day two

Pahr sprinted up to the group and slid to a halt next to Karibi.

"Trask?" he whispered, handing Karibi the data-slate. On it was a crude drawing of a sword, a plus sign, and a stick figure with the small "I" embossed with an eye symbol over it.

"He's inside. His sword is ready as well?" he handed the slate back to Pahr, who nodded, and pointed at Trask's staff, still slung over his shoulder. He pointed at the door to the bar, shaking his head while still pointing at the staff.

"You want me to go in and get him?" Karibi asked. Pahr nodded vigorously.
