I cant stand port. Horrid stuff.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Re: The Random Thread
I enjoy port (tawny more than ruby) in its traditional after-dinner role, but I can't drink it as a cocktail. Even then, I prefer a more traditional dessert drink, like Fra Angelica.

You can get full size 70ml bottle of port here. You can even get 1 litre ones in most supermarkets. What do you mean by small bottles?Cpl Kendall wrote:Same here, I'm limited to Port nowadays. Which is probably a good thing anyways cause it comes in those small bottles.Reliant121 wrote:I'm largely intolerant of heavy alcohol. Whiskey, Vodka, Tequila, Sambuca all make me feel insanely ill. Brandy, I can take a couple of shots of before I keel over and start drooling. Beer makes me feel ill as well. The only one I can drink in any quantity is wine.

Re: The Random Thread
Which one, there's two, Ruby and Tawny? Ruby (as it's name suggests) is red while Tawny is more of a light brown sherry sort of colour.Teaos wrote:I cant stand port. Horrid stuff.

I'm the opposite I like Ruby rather than tawny. I can drink it slowly over the course of an evening.Mikey wrote:I enjoy port (tawny more than ruby) in its traditional after-dinner role, but I can't drink it as a cocktail. Even then, I prefer a more traditional dessert drink, like Fra Angelica.

Re: The Random Thread
So, by "small bottle" you mean "non-magnum, normal-sized bottle?"

ha. as you would say to an old text editor I used to use c/ml/cl
Or to put it in terms people can understand, I'm mad and I ment 70cl or 700ml (a standard wine bottle size).

Re: The Random Thread
Kind of figured it out. Unless, of course, you're in the habit of buying a jigger of port at a time.

Re: The Random Thread
I just find it odd that you can get 40oz of hard liquor or a box of wine but Port just comes in a 750ml bottle.

Re: The Random Thread
I find your topic of discussion odd. You've been talking about alcohol for how many pages??? Is it really that interesting? Why don't you just create an alcohol thread?
So does anyone know what make-up artists use to make Vulcan ears and Klingon ridges and everything? Bob tried Play-doh for ears but that didn't work. Wasn't sticky enough, wouldn't stay on.

I find your attitude odd, why do you care if we talk about booze?IntrepidPrincess wrote:I find your topic of discussion odd. You've been talking about alcohol for how many pages??? Is it really that interesting? Why don't you just create an alcohol thread?
Re: The Random Thread
Because, she hates alcohol, IDK why, and I think she was genuinely curious. As she would never talk about alcohol for more than five minutes.

Re: The Random Thread
Sorry, didn't mean to come across with an additude . I meant for it to be kindof funny (not very good with humor). I guess maybe if I put a smiley that would make people laugh instead of getting them mad. I didn't want to make anyone mad.
