Or the reverse. I've usually found (especially with military guys) that the more they talk, the less they've done.

For good or ill, I've met/talked to/drank with guys who have known him for 40 years or more, and I've seen men 30 years younger back off if things looked like they were going to come to blows.

Work is fun.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

isn't that an oxymoron?
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

It depends. Would you not consider it fun if your job was as the masseuse to a bunch of swimsuit models?

A friend of mine does destructive materials testing; basically, his job is to blow stuff up, and measure the results.

Or building demolition. Or beer taster. Or movie reviewer. All fun.

Yeah, I've noted the same. Personaly, unless anyone else vouches that such stories are true then I assume they're BS.

Of course, some people are just braggarts who like to tout the few things they've done right to make themselves feel better for all the things they believe they've failed at in life...

You know, some people.

Dad never really talks about his service in Northern Ireland. We all think something pretty sh*tty happened up there that causes him to keep it quiet. Our family friend, Tracy Newell, was out in Bosnia. Now the shit thats in her head, I Really dont want to see. Ironic, that she's almost got her doctorate in psychology.

Well if she was in Bosnia prior to '96 then she definitely saw some bad stuff. I know a guy who won't stay in his own house if the power goes out, cause it starts to look like a burned out building.

Yep....that would be right in the middle of the shit. Guy I knew said people used "mercy" kill each other, just so they wouldn't be tortured.

reminds me of Fallen Angels, it's about Vietnam, one of the lines in there from the protagonist is just before they move into a suspected hot spot he makes a mental count of his grenades (4), then says something along the lines of 3 for the enemy, and one for me.
