They gave a bs excuse in the movie...sam said that his vocal stuff was malfunctioning again...basicly they decided he was cooler using the radio to speak same as us, so it's all good.Rochey wrote:Bumblebee was pretty cool, though why doesn't he speak any more? His voice was fixed at the end of the first movie. Still, it adds a bit of flavour to his character, so I'm willing to overlook it.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
Re: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
There's so much continuity errors in this movie you can't possibly realistically explain half of them. Hell how many thousands of civilians died in the first one?
How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

It's stand alone, it has no prior canon to contradict.Monroe wrote:There's so much continuity errors in this movie you can't possibly realistically explain half of them. Hell how many thousands of civilians died in the first one?

Yes it does. It exists in the same universe as the first movie.Lt. Staplic wrote:It's stand alone, it has no prior canon to contradict.

I think he means the movies are stand alone.
Also, an Abrams weighs about 72 tons. So even the larger pyramid blocks aren't that much larger than a tank.

I was referring to prior comics/TV shows, but yes your right, it had the canon restraints of the first movie.Rochey wrote:Yes it does. It exists in the same universe as the first movie.Lt. Staplic wrote:It's stand alone, it has no prior canon to contradict.

Re: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
TF canon is... almost a contradiction in terms. G1? Which version? Animated, Marvel, Dreamwave or IDW? Not to even get into the Japanese stuff. Is Beast Wars a sequel to G1 comics, cartoon or some weird fusion of both?
But, yeah, the 2007 movie and ROTF are canon to each other. The spinoff material... not so much. I can get a headache trying to keep this shit straight.

My two cents.
The twin Autobots can go. The only thing I found funny about them was their introduction.
Optimus Prime apparently has been working out. In the first film he got his ass handed to him by Megatron. In this one he takes on three Decepticons with Megatron as one of them. He's definitely a badass in the movie.
Bumblebee also kicked ass.
Most of the humor should have not been in there. The Mom getting high didn't need to be there.
I can deal with the soldiers carrying assualt rifles. You just don't carry RPGs wherever you go.

Re: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
But if their going to be fighting the giant heavily armored robots, they should be. normally no you wouldn't, but they should be outfitted for what the task requires, and the task requires RPG's and up. I don't mind the assault rifles though because as seen on the screen, the do appear to be a decent defensive weapon, stalling the transformers.McAvoy wrote:You just don't carry RPGs wherever you go.

AFAIK, only Rangers carry LAW's (or the more modern equivalent) as part of their kit.

of course none of our known military agencies/units are known to be hunting for giant, armored, sapient robots.Mikey wrote:AFAIK, only Rangers carry LAW's (or the more modern equivalent) as part of their kit.

Re: Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
You forget that not all the robots they hunted were big. Many of them ended up being small. Plus small arms seemed able to harm even the bigger ones. Also of note is the strike team used the Autobots to handle the tougher bad guys.

Even if they're small, they're still built out of whateverium.Deepcrush wrote:You forget that not all the robots they hunted were big. Many of them ended up being small.
They did? When?Deepcrush wrote: Plus small arms seemed able to harm even the bigger ones.
Indeed. So why have humans on the ground at all if they've not got weapons to tackle the Decepticons?Deepcrush wrote:Also of note is the strike team used the Autobots to handle the tougher bad guys.
