Re: Worst Season
I like to think he died horribly in some way off screen.

Haha, yes, but seeing it on-screen would have been so nice, lol

Re: Worst Season
To bad we never got to see him decapitated in Yesterday's Enterprise like they planned.

Say what!?
I liked Yar mostly for her backstory. That was a rather dark one for TV back then, much less Trek. Hell it's still pretty dark.

Re: Worst Season
Part of the original climax of YE was a much longer and bloodier end for the alt-E-D, part of which involved the decapitation of Wesley Crusher. It got budgeted out, unfortunately.Tyyr wrote:Say what!?

Re: Worst Season
Couldn't we have at least gotten him getting crushed by something?
Re: Worst Season
I still prefer my old idea of Wes's head flying off and landing in Dr Crushers lap - only for Data to comment - "Yeah, that happened to me once too"
"You ain't gonna get off down the trail a mile or two, and go missing your wife or something, like our last cook done, are you?"
"My wife is in hell, where I sent her. She could make good biscuits, but her behavior was terrible."

Re: Worst Season
It was good, unfortunately her character was so badly managed that the actress left. I like to think that had she stayed she would be a beloved character along with the rest of them.Tyyr wrote:Say what!?

Re: Worst Season
The security chief was the WORST place in the world to put that character. They could have left her as the Tactical Officer, which would have given her bridge (thus screen) time and still had Worf as the SC to safeguard the bridge.

They look like Phyllis Diller,

Aye, it would have been nice to have kept her around as something,

Re: Worst Season
Marina Sirtis thought her character was going to be written off, too.
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?
Re: Worst Season
And Gates McFadden left the show, but then they got her back for season 3.
Oh, and I see now on Memory Alpha that Wesley was originally going to be a girl, called... Leslie.
They should have gone with that idea and cast Ashley Judd, dammit!

Re: Worst Season
I do like that they brought her back to the show... however it would have been better if they had brought her back as Yar.
