True enough.

Does anyone like the centari fleet?

Light armor and high speed.

Short & medium range weapons - most of which are heavy cannon.

Fairly large numbers with only the Membari and Earth Force outnumbering them.

The centari attack cruiser (vorchan??) looks pretty nice and its got powerful main guns. Good enough to blow the Narn cruisers to bits with a quick volly.

True but again would you trade your armour for high speed and heavy weapons? That would have to be your trade off.

While they're not the ultimate fighting force the Centari do seem to have plenty of ships and if it comes to a massed fleet situation it can pay to have fire hitting an enemy from several sides, as you used to your advantage deep against the Klingons. Besides they look good and thats gotta count for something

Their fighters were fast and nimble but no match for the good old Starfury though.

Thank you for the complement on my tactics in battle. That is also a very good point that they are faster then most other races so would be able to use the same tactics that I did.

One problem for that though.
They lack a heavy warship which was central to my battle plan. Something to draw fire while the other smaller and faster ships make the attack from flank.

They do have a slower larger warship that turned up a few times (the large mostly flat rather one than the lighter faster cross shaped ones) though again what it would have been like against a really tooled up earthforce or similar ship wasn't really shown as I remember. They really only were seen against the relatively slower Narn cruisers and then mostly when they had the advantage as in the aftermath of a Shadow assault or one on one outside B5 when the Narn had no back up and were war damaged.

You are talking about the Primus Battlecruiser which had poor speed and armor and relied on its heavy weapons and light fighters to protect its self. Normally it would have a few vorchans escorting it to cover it from faster light cruisers or swarms of fighters as it only carries a dozen of its own.
