The charge was statatory rape. His defense was it was consentual and he didn't know her real age. The problem was the affair had been going on for five years.

Yeah.....his story directly conflicted with the established timeline too. And somehow, I have a hard time believing even Captain Kirk could defeat the Borg all by himself.
