Which B5 Fleet would you take.

Hey, I said 'sorta', not 'did'.

I always liked the look of the Vree ships. We never got to see much of them in battle but I have this image of about 6 or 7 of them in formation making a strafing run over something like the Vorlon planet killer. Sadly we never got to see as much of them as I'd have liked.

Ah a Vree fan, nice to see. A very unique fleet in both design and weapons. A good call as many races didn't have the screen time that both fans and writers would have liked.

Thinking about all of this begs the question. Was B5 the only scifi show with writers that had iq?

It's the only sci-fi show I know of where the creator had an overall arc planned out before he even started writing it, and the only sci-fi where the show's creator was not only a main writer, he actually wrote two whole seasons himself. JMS's social life must've been pretty much non-existent during that time period...

No. Merely the only one whose creator cared about the story itself, rather than just making money.

Me too. I'd put it up there as one of my favourite tv shows of all time.
How can something be so good be finished?

Look on the bright side - Trek was once fully of well-written, intelliegent plots. Now look at Voyager and Enterprise. Better to end while the going's good than to keep going until it's utter shite.

Yeah, even a golden goose will eventually have reproductive difficulty.

From what I've read online, a movie or show set in the B5 universe has been on-again, off-again for several years now.

I would love to see that.
B5 + modern CGI = awesome. :)
