Double the C and add thirty. The closer it is to 90 subtract 1 and the closer it is to 100 subtract two. Close enough for government work.

That's what we used to do when giving the passengers in the back the local temps, since the info we received was in C.

Oh and one other thing, and please don't tell anyone, if you ask what river the aircraft is flying over we just use whatever state we happen to be above. 8)

Ummm.... I have no idea.

All I know is 32 = freezing water and 451 = burning paper.

I like to keep the temperature on my desktop in Celsius, it freaks out my co-workers. :D

In elementary school (the 70's) they started teaching us the metric system saying that it's only a matter of time till we switch over. Well it's been over 35 years and I'm still waiting.
