Crocs are great for the garden, if they get all mucky and dirty you can hose them off. Well, not my fuzzy ones, but those are great if you have to run outside in the winter, unless you have more then two inches of snow, then the snow gets in them.thelordharry wrote:Do you prefer alligators then?Tyyr wrote:Why all the hate for crocs?
I like Crocs! I think they're great for their purpose, like Mikey says, as beach or garden shoes.

It's not hate for Crocs - it's hate for people who think that they're appropriate to wear in place of big-boy shoes.

Well said. Crocs are just dressed up sandles. If you wouldn't wear flip-flops somewhere, then you shouldn't wear crocs there either.Mikey wrote:It's not hate for Crocs - it's hate for people who think that they're appropriate to wear in place of big-boy shoes.

Hmm...it's not my own body I have a problem with, it's most other peoples.

I like my flip-flops... for taking the dog out in the yard, or going to the pool or the beach. That's it.

I'm one of those people that refuses to wear less than full length jeans during summer, that likes long sleeve black shirts in 30 degree temperatures. I am quite shy about my body, I only reveal it to one person.

Yeah. I dont even know how to convert to fahrenheit. We only use centigrade/celsius temperatures.
Re: The Random Thread
I know 30º is warm, 20º is nice, 10º is cool, 0º is freezing, but I can never remember the conversion factor.

Re: The Random Thread
I just estimate. I think 30 C is around 90-100 F.

Re: The Random Thread
Since I am unnaccustomed to warm temperatures, 20 degrees is hot, 15 is temperate, 10 is a little chilly, 5 is heavy coat worthy, 0 (freezing) is "get a lift or stay indoors". Raynauds doesnt help for the cold temperatures.
