No, it was me being cruelly honest, and saying a lot of stuff I've been holding back.

I've got a guess as to what, in particular, you were being honest about - be careful. It may actually be honesty, but it can come across as jealousy or pettiness. Especially to someone who doesn't really want to hear the truth.

I'm sure you got it, but that was only a small fraction of what I had to cover. I was quite careful about not coming off like that, and she openly recognized that. By the end of the conversation, she was pretty much forced to agree with most of what I said; the alternative would be looking foolish, and she really doesn't like to do that.

I think we're okay; all of that stuff needed to be said, and she called back later and talked to my mom after I went to sleep. She still needs to apologize for hanging up on me three times, though; I hate that.

Well, better to get it out in the open if she was able to realize it for what it was.

Yeah, almost nothing infuriates me as much as getting hung-up on.

Thankfully, I had something inanimate and already broken to punch.

And, yeah, I think she gets that I just expect better from someone as smart and cool as she is.

If you hate being hung up on don't become a Jeweller.

Customer: Hello I'd like a quote on a gold ring I have, how much will that be?

Me: Only 5 dollars unless its an antique, in which case I can recomend you someone who specialieses in them.

Customer: Only 5 dollars? But its gold?!?!

Me: No miss the quote is 5 dollars, the ring could be worth anything.

Customer: It must be worth more than that, my husband paid thousands for it.

Me: (Deep breath) Miss I charge 5 dollars to do jewellery quotes which include a write up for insurance claims, when I see your ring I can apraise how much it will be.

Customer: So all rings are only ever 5 dollars? Thats an outrage. How can you sleep at night.

Me: (feed up with retarded customer) I usually cry my self to sleep on a pile of 5 dollar rings...

Customer: ... *hangs up*
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I get it, you charge $5 to look at the ring and determine how much the ring is worth, I must be a genius! JK. :P

She's asking how much the quote is, I would have to hunt her down and kill her. That's all there is to it.

I feel your pain, Teaos.

Every day of my life:
"I'm not buying this car. How much would it be?"
"How can that possibly matter if you're not buying this car?"

It will be nothing... now if you plan on buying it, that's a different story :D

And tonight I have an english final to write, it's pretty easy, but it will take a while, so probably won't be on much.
