The one with Johnny Depp was very good, IMHO. He did well, and the presence of Christopher Lee was awesome.

I think Johnny Depp is a pretty decent actor but overact in this case, Christopher Lee is almost a legend and in general a like Tim Burton´s work but this movie as a whole i don´t like it, not a bit.

I thought the 2005 film was pretty good. It was certainly closer to the original novel in any case, IIRC.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, you're a British agent on the Titanic trying to unravel a plot of some sort, and then get caught up in the whole thing when the iceberg gets hit. I can't remember it too well.

Oh, the one I'm thinking of is an underwater exploration game, you have to find pieces of the Titanic to discover something about it that was happening, or just to find pieces, depending on what mode you played in.

Saw "Slumdog millionaire" and wow was that just the most boring piece of shit... A waste of time which makes me glad I had my laptop with me. Most everyone was watching it and about half way through I started playing Empire TW. I even lost a battle in a horrible defeated fashioned off of Custer. But still, that was less painful then watching that movie.

Ah, right. This is the one I was talking about. I actualy started playing it again yesterday, and was surprised to see that it's still an excellent game, despite having aged.

Transformers...

I've started watching it yesterday, and although the effects are incredible, the story just doesn't seem all that great to me.
I mean, Witwickey's an idiot boy who seems even whinier then Emo-kin Skywalker, a total loser, Megan Fox really is just there for the eye-candy, but frankly her character could've been excluded and the movie would've been fine.
The characters don't appeal to me, the humor sometimes seems forced a bit (the "yard incident"), and I've yet to find a character I really like, except perhaps for the Army Sargent.

I'll still watch it entirely just for the robots, but for the moment, the movie ranks at the same level as Terminator: Salvation...

Aye, the humans were just plain irritating in the Transformers movie.

I would hardly call Transformers a great movie, the first one was rubbish. The trailer for the second one looked so bad that Graham and I both decided not even watch it. Given we get to go to films for just about nothing that's quite bad. (we pay £13/month for as many films as we want).

I went to the first one purely because everyone I knew was saying it was great. I went out with mixed feelings.
Put simply, every time there was some action it was cool. Every time there was a human speaking I wanted to just leave the cinema.

Exactly.
Just finished watching it yesterday, and the best parts were the Transformers fighting.
I still don't like the main human character, and at the end I just wanted Megatron to put him out of my misery...

I only mentioned it in this thread because many people said it was a great movie, and it did well at the box office.
