Trick or Treating
Ahhh - the best part of Halloween. After we only had about 5 kids round, and my mother decided to get 3 bags each containiting 25 packets of maltesers, milky ways, or mars bars; there is plenty left for me to enjoy.
In fact, I'm feeling a little sick after eating 10 bags of maltesers and 4 milky ways

Not being able to eat any was what I was getting at. I have type 1 (juvenile) diabetes, so candy is pretty much out for me - unless I happen to have a hypoglycemic insulin reaction, in which case Halloween is a very convenient time of year.

Yeah, I know. That's part of the fun of diabetes. You're sugar is high enough, normally, to cause chronic circulatory, renal, and eye damage, but when you're treating it, you can have massive hypoglycemic reactions. Most diabetics you meet will carry some sort of candy, fruit, juice, or glucose pills or gel with them for such an occurence, because the spike and dip fast enough to not affect the next mealtime too much.
Try drinking more coffee - the latest Canadian studies showed that 400 mg of caffeine (about 4 cups of drip coffee) daily will interfere somewhat with insulin absorption.

That figures. I have adverse reactions to coffee thanks to an unrelated condition. I just try to watch what I eat and when, and keep my drinking to a manageable level.

Well - I beat you all!
I had a medical condition called 'chronic daily headaches' for 3 years - where I literally had a headache nearly continiously for 3 years. I was on various medication for about 6 months (generally taking about 6 tablets every day) before it finally went - if I'm being honest I think they were just placebos and they didn't have a clue what was wrong! I stil have more headaches than I should (probably one or two days in a week) so still pack the paracetemol, but I've become almost immune to them with the amount I've had.

That does suck, brother. I only get headaches from my wisdom teeth coming in, but they're irregular, and I can control the pain well enough with some good Rx and 8% alcohol beers. Head pain is quite bad because of its proximity to the source pain receptors. Don't they have hydrocodone in the UK?
