Probably just me but the graceful lines of the GCS are stil unmatched with the E-A maybe the only one which plays in the same aestetic league.

It's not just you - but you're in a definite minority.

The Ent-D is the Mac of the Enterprise family. Form over function. My least favorite look of the lineage.

Same here. Definitely not a fan of the E-D. Still, cool pictures. Especialy the first one.

Re: Starship Pics
How so? Every Enterprise has more or less the same design features. A saucer, secondary hull and two nacelles. Seems those are the basics for sucessful spaceflight and the rest is up to the designer imho.Tyyr wrote:Form over function. My least favorite look of the lineage.
Can at the moment not imagine why the form of the D should restrict its function and if so why the same could not be said for all the other Enterprises.
Now if you just say "I do not like the look of it" this I could understand since it took me quite a while to appreciate the design. But "form over function" with an entirly fictional spaceship seems odd to me

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

The form of the GCS is terrible for a whole variety of reasons. Exposed vital areas, poor armour, poor redundancy, lack of proper safeties or security, poor combat design, etc, etc, etc.

Well, from my point of view the same could be said for all the other Enterprises right to the E-E with the GCS neither inferior or superior but just the best of her time like all the other Enterprises but let us just agree to disagree while I answer with another beauty-shot found on the net .

And of one of the few moments when a GCS looked and felt like the battleship the class was meant to be.
