Federation
Anybody else read This novel by the Reeves-Stevens? It's long been one of my favorites and is an interesting take on WWII/Post-Eugenics Wars Earth. I almost like this version better than what we can determine happened from the television series. It also explains the origins of the Enterprise Arrowhead in a very interesting way.
"All this has happened before --"
"But it doesn't have to happen again. Not if we make up our minds to change. Take a different path. Right here, right now."

Read it, loved it. Some of the best dialogue/quotes I've ever read.

Great book, great "alternate" version of the Cochrane experiment, as it was later voided by First Contact. Lovely book, though.
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?

I've read... somewhere that it'd be possible to move some of it around and it would fit.
