I believe our future conversations could be quite productive, in terms of debating different viewpoints. I look forward to it.

I've seen a lot of people results from the test. The majority seem to be rather socially liberal but the big difference comes down to the economic scale.

Fine you insist on bringing it up. Yes he should have. Are you honestly saying he could not have put aside $5 week for the nearly 40 years he was in the work force? Are you saying that he has no family that could support him during that time? Did you work every available hour you were out of school and help out?
Look who doesn't know what they're talking about again.

Teaos wrote: History agrees with my point actually. Look at ancient civilisations, the ones who give the most personal freedom we know look back at as being the greatest and they usually did rise to great heights.

Even in modern times the bench mark for a great country is the personal freedoms given the their citizens.
And for that, you get two gold stars

You've just spouted a load of rubish there, well done.

So you'd actually rather live in a country where everything is your choice - you can choose whether to commit murder, you can choose whether to steal?
Thought not.

My personal summation of your entire arguement;

No. As I have said, I intend to tell you nothing of any situation that my family has been on, not least because you don't deserve to know for simply assuming you know everything.

They're not worthy of dispute. You have claimed to know various things about the situation of my family - such as where money may have gone, the reason behind not being able to pay £20,000 a year from a bank account.
It is a situation you know nothing about and yet you claim to. I don't need to dispute what you say because your very comments about it are in dispute and incorrect. And they always will be.

Looking back, I think my post about the welfare budget started this fight, and I apologize. I didn't mean to cause any trouble here, I just thought I'd throw a fact out. I didn't realize it would start this kind of dispute. The sad thing is, this happens in my real life all the time. I guess I should just keep my mouth shut, real or virtual.

Debates happen all the time - it's when people start claiming wild things of which they know nothing about that things get out of hand.

I didnt claim to know anything. I presumed that the situation wasnt so totally desperate that there was no possible way to live a year with out welfare. And while I cant know that for sure, the chances of that being the case are slim to none. I gave a number of situations that could have avoided the use of welfare which you have not commented on.
