They apparently haven't gotten to ENT yet.
But those were great for laughs.
No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

Yeah, that's pretty pathetic if you ask me. :?

Personally I think some of you do far too much thinking about Star Trek already, its just a show people, they're not scientists, they have NO idea what they're doing!

EDIT: LOL, thanks for the link!

This site lets you look at a rotatable Kelvin model and shows you some of the bridge crew.

I love that the shuttlebay is now called a hanger, its just a nice touch. "Shuttlebay" always made it sound so childish.

Aye, I prefer the term hanger as well.

Me too, otherwise your clothes get all wrinkly. I also prefer "hangar" over "shuttlebay."

Kelvin [was] my favorite ship in the whole movie. Not saying to terribly much, but it really fit in well.

I think the ....okay, let's face it...HUGE nacelle works well for a ship with just one. However, we see some other ships later with two or more of those big honkers bolted on. THOSE do not score so well with me as Kelvin does...

I agree completely, it was very well done, I loved the engineering area. It's very cluttered and looked like what you would expect from a vessel. I also loved the escape method, the cables to the ground. That was pretty cool, them using different methods of movement rather than just the turbolifts.

I think I found the class that the USS Kelvin has been based on: http://memory-beta.wikia.com/wiki/Akula_class_frigate

Ah yes, I'm familiar with the Akula from playing SFC. Somewhat similar, but I wouldn't say that it's the ship that it's based on.
