Sorry, to be more specific (again), she's about the only human I enjoy spending time with in person.

i got an informal disciplinary warning over ''intolerance''.....all i actually said was ''why do only the disabled toilets have a condom machine?'', meaning that the others should too, but apparently i was being intolerant and somehow saying that differently abled people shouldn't make love.....sheesh

Seems like a big misunderstanding. They probably thought you were saying "why do the disabled toilets have condom machines", with the implication of "they're not going to have sex".

yeah i did explain but everyone is so sensitive these days, trying to pre-emptively strike people, it seems, prevention better than cure and all that, i have disabled relatives so am fairly unlikely to be a n*b , so hope they pick a better target next time

Holy hopping snot, but nothing creates intolerance like people trying too hard to be politically correct. I'm reminded of John Lennon - "We're starting a war for peace" - except these PC crusaders aren't joking.

Indeed. The whole PC thing is going crazy lately. Though the recession seems to have knocked it down lately over here, due to everyone falling back on the reliable old "it's all them damn foreigners' fault!" excuse.

also a bit of jibing is ok if both sides are party to it in equal measure, the funniest anti-pc jokes i've heard were from a latvian-anglo jew and an anglo-nigerian, the more cotton wool we wrap ourselves in the bigger the flame if we're not careful.

So when driving home from school I had a terrible experience. For a good 200 ft (I'm estimating) going ~50mph I blacked out. I do not remember that part of the road at all. The only reason I noticed something was wrong is because I was driving on a turn (with the closest light about 200ft away) and then the next second I was passing under a traffic light. Nothing in between.

Now I just need to figure out why it happened. I'm just lucky I didn't get into an accident.

Dear Lord, Stitch. Glad you're OK, but you need to get that checked out ASAP.

I at least have recreational-chemical reasons for all my blackouts. That could be a sign of something trivial, like a vitamin deficiency, or a sign of something weirder. I really, really advise on getting that checked right away.

Yeah, Stitch. Go see a doctor about that ASAP. :?

I had... three people stop me at work and simply... tell me about their lives. I have no clue why, either. Nothing as far as I coulld tell precipitated the conversation.

Uhh......my in-laws gave me a moped. I have to let my wife use the car for her drug treatment, so I get to dodge all kinds of new assholes. It's a new experience.

My mom would love a moped. I think it would be fun to have one, as I would like a motorcycle.
