We lost another security chief?! Wouldn't that be our borg this time? At least we're not letting 'hero' characters be invincible like they are in so many TV series. Maybe we should put someone more durable in charge of security. I'd like to nominate myself, along with a promotion to full Lt. I'll still work on the new shuttle, obviously, but I'll be able to do more then just working on the shuttle and playing pranks on the captain.

All right, I let my personal cryosattelite show up on sensors. Somehow, I am the only person left to survive cryostasis, apart fomr the dozen others in there. Who's gonna' pick me up?

Hey, I'm stuck in sickbay for a few minutes. I left story threads open for Rochey, DarkOmen, and Teaos specifically to carry on. Sooner or later, Rochey's going to have to debrief and prep the away team, too...

Panel Bend a medical condition first diagnosed by Doctor James Bunham is diagnosed by a curve in the spine and strained lower back muscles. It is caused by extended time leaning over computer displays. Treatment consist of muscle relaxants and extension and spine aliment.

This article defines the homo sapien variant Mars.
History:
Variant was created via genetic engineering around 2080 with the intention for their mission to colonize the Marshian surface. Augmentation of the mind and physical strength was prohibited so that they would not become 'super' human. 20 such variants were bred before the program was stopped due to political and social pressures. The variants were unfortunately outcast by society and were sent to Mars to Tarraform the planet. The strife between the Mars variant (here after referred to as mv) and pure homo sapien (here after referred to as hs) was intense and the mvs refused to tarraform instead they clamed Mars as there own and begun to colonize. Mv was able to conceive of there own and there numbers grew rapidly. Shortly after the Mars/Earth war (FDS-H201-13:n) the variant was accepted into society. As of 2380 the mv population is 50 billion mostly in the Sol sector they tend to stay close to Mars as that is were they are most comfortable.

Specifications:
Average height is 1.7 Meters, skin is a pale red due to extra iron oxide. This addition was to increases protection in the atmosphere. A third lung was added to convert CO2 into OX this is then moved to the two primary lungs, OX levels are higher in the Mars variant then in pure homo sapien. The extra OX is used to heat the extremities and air entering the body. This increases the overall temperature of the Mars variant and makes them tend to prefer colder locations. All hair is silver and is formed as small tubules. The hair reflects sunlight and radiation while expelling a nice smelling oil used to keep the skin clean. Hearing is improved by channeling nerve reaction in the upper body through the ear system.

Accommodations:
The only accommodation need for the mv is a weekly hypospray of OX or a weekly 5-minute CO2 air supply. Starship systems do not have enough CO2 to convert to OX.
