My wife gave birth to our daughter, Ella Louise, at 2.15am on Thursday morning and she was a very tiny (!!!) 9lbs 2oz (4.155kg). Mother and Baby doing well :)
Tiny? I was 7lbs 1oz.

Congratulations, Harry. You're a lucky man. :)

Yeah but 7lbs and over was a large baby back then. 8 and 1/2 to 9 is pretty common now.

I say 'tiny' with a hint of irony :) I think 9lbs plus is a bit on the big side. Believe it or not (and I have documentary evidence to prove it) I was 12lbs when I was born!!! My poor mother :)

Kendall - that reminded me about an old joke about the top 10 things to do at walmart, one of them was to wonder into the sporting section and start looking at the guns behind the counter, then when the clerk walks up, you ask where the anti-depressants are.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Thank you kindly guys :) It's a very happy time in my life right now :) Just think, she's young enough to be able witness first contact in fifty odd years time :)

Right, back off to the Maternity Ward now to visit again. Always a pleasure, never a chore!

Congrats man, hope you didn't have one of those nurses that used to be a hippy or was a teen in the 70's. They are weird, with a capital WE.
