Likewise for me. I've had a couple good winning streaks, but recently I feel as if I've lost my mojo.Mikey wrote:Same here. My former glory is beginning to tarnish.

I was the king for a while. Once Bryan's name went ahead of mine, I felt like Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard.

There was one week, many months ago, where I got the top two spots on the special mention list! Agh, so tantalizingly close!

I think I'll take a week or two off to try and recharge the old creative juices.

Man, I've never even got so much as an honourable mention.

I had a win and I'm a paddy, no honourable mentions though but I guess I just went straight in there and by passed the not winning bit,
But I can't throw, I throw like a geek!

Re: Caption Competition
I cant believe i won this week, id seriously just giving up only a few weeks ago. I have to admit i didnt think that my entry really deserved to win, it wasnt very creative, just another "ambassador" reference. I had seen better, the kind where you go "I wish id thought of that!"
Oh well, i cant say im not pleased, just very suprised! Thanks guys.

Welcome to the forum. The entry just tickled us so it won. No body else did an ambassador reference so it can't be that obvious. Anyhow, well done.

Well isnt that remarkable, the first Scotsman on DITL forum, i had no idea. Mr President usually has some absolute belters every week.. And your right Kennedy fellows about it being the only entry of that nature, thank you again. As soon as i stopped trying to win, i do, ill keep this in mind every week.
