'Cause I liked the original, but I had a real problem with the Roddy McDowell sequels.

I love the musical version of it that the Simpsons did.

Gallopoli. I literally cannot watch this movie without frothing in rage and throwing shit at the TV and the kicker is, it's a really great movie but the tactics and utter waste of life in the campaign drive me bananas.

Agreed. I just can't figure why the Generals couldn't apply a single IQ point towards... "This just ain't working".

Aye, the Gallipoli campaign has to be one of the greatest military clusterfucks ever. An utterly wasteful campaign that saw many, many dead for no reason.

Of course, inteligence seemed to be pretty thin on the ground during the whole First World War. Exactly how long did it take them to realise that human-wave tactics don't work against machine guns?

I didn't know that there was a film version of Rent, but I'm in agreement. Perhaps the most overrated musical of the modern era.

Funny, most US Generals learned that during the Civil War.

The Gallipoli campaign taught us that you need accurate maps to fight war. The amount of geographical knowledge they had was pitiful.

Adjusted for emphasis on importance.

Wow, that statement needed a lot of adjustment.

Well, it was one pretty big clusterfuck.

Gallipoli should be a Jeopardy answer:
