I filed for sleep apnea, consequential to my already PTSD (basically claiming that PTSD caused apnea). There is a known link between the two and I got a decision back today that basically said "we know your apnea is related to your PTSD but there is no proof that it was caused by PTSD".

Ok...I didn't get apnea until after I got PTSD and I certainly didn't have them when I joined, so...WTF do these morons think happened? I'm thirty one years old and the condition is present regardless of whether I am overweight or not (one of the factors in apnea is weight).

It's just bizarre. I mean I knew they were going to deny it because unless there is something explicting saying "HE HAS APNEA CAUSE OF PTSD!" from when you were in they won't make the leap. But the way the decision is written makes it look like the guy who did was a retarded five year old.

I've heard a number of far-out proposals for dealing with the issue of excessive garbage, but that one is a first.

Holy crap, I passed all my modules! Even passed maths where during the exam I physically counted up all the marks possible from all the questions I answered (even if I guessed and/or knew for certain they were wrong) and it didn't even get me past the 40% pass mark, yet I got 45%? If they've marked it wrong, I'm not complaining :D
Got lower 2nds in quantum physics, physics of every day life and dynamics; and a 1st in astronomy. I'm damned happy with that considering I'd lost at least 15% from all the modules before the actual exam (5% is from tutorials which I never go to, and 10% from the midterms which I all failed), and especially in dynamics, where I lost a total of 30% before the exam thanks to the tutorials, midterms, and then 15% from weekly online tests which I never did a single one of.

good man!
I got invited to a Sociocognitive Psychology conference on Iatrogenesis in Kiev, but its the day that dad's having an op, so i made a few calls and got some snotty answers, so am not entirely chuffed with academics, and that tutorial clause of yours is barmy.

Congratulations Thorin. :) So is the degree looking a bit brighter now?

I'm listening to an American guest on one of our great BBC2 Radio shows.

He keeps swearing and it's before the watershed. I've counted 3 Craps, 1 Bitch and 2 Bastards so far (about the same as I counted last night when walking down my home street at 11pm).
