BTW, he's a point-and-shoot sort of guy, so he won't kill unless ordered to by Mikey's character. OTOH, he wouldn't just stand there waiting for orders if an enemy was trying to escape, or alert others.

How many Minbari does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
None. They always surrender right before they finish the job and never tell you why.

Don't play your feral to dumb. Remember that if the Inq picked you then you have to have some IQ.
And yes, Feral's eat about anything.

I'm the insane void-born assassin. Kendall's the feral, IIRC.Deepcrush wrote:Don't play your feral to dumb. Remember that if the Inq picked you then you have to have some IQ.

Few more questions, forgive my n00bness:
Crest of Nobility -whats this look like? Necklace, vest? medal?
Voice of the High Born -High Born is the 'latin' in the books? I've read one book :p
Also thought I'd write up a personality. As I've been watching the Deadwood series lately I thought Swearengen from that show would be an awesome basis for Octavian. Also it gives me an excuse to learn new words since Swearengen's vocab is so much different than mine.
So here's the personality if a mod wanted to edit it into my character's sheet.
--
Octavian's personality has been formed by the unlikely combination of hiring the thugs of his world after his family was killed and the high class education he was afforded in his upbringing. Insisting he live among his men he has picked up the common infantry member's habbit of cussing repeatedly between high cultured words of his upbringing and youth.
One of his favorite pass times involved killing beggars on the street with a knife just to watch them die and many allude that to his cold stare and uncarring mannerism about most things and people in life. He follows orders and never hesitates to do what has to be done no matter who he steps on, especially if he's stepping on people of lower birth.
While visiting the brothels he contracted an incurable Veneral Disease which had evolved after the Dark Age of Technology. It causes his groin immense pain whenever he urinates but the catch 22 is that the more he urinates reguarly the less each visit hurts overall. The disease doesn't stop him from promiscous habbits where he doesn't tell his lovers about his condition.
His temper is easy to flare and once he has marked someone as his enemy they rarely live much longer. He tends to have a working relationship with the dock workers or the infantry cooks for easy body disposal reasons.

Chrest of Nobility
It is worn to prove you are a High Born. You cannot be turned away on any Imperial World by another High Born. They "MUST" grant you any wish within reason. This can be anything from a place to sleep to and invite to a bit party.
Voice of the High Born
You speak High Gothic. This is the Noble language of the Imperium. This allows you to talk to the upper class if need be without offending them.
Most of the stuff you put in there is close to what I listed. Other then the asshole-ish parts. Looking for a darker character?

Re: 40k roleplay comments
On the topic of indiscriminate killing:
Yes, you pretty much have immunity from legal action if you are acting in the name of the Inquisition. However, anything you do in the name of the Inquisition had damned well better be specifically done in order to further the goals of the Inquisition. If you decide you want to go start killing hookers, and then try to strongarm your local Adeptus Arbites by telling them "Hey - I'm with the Inquisition," you might get a social call from someone like, say, Inquisitor Lord Tyrus:
Or, perhaps, becoming an arco-flagellant or being attached to a penitent engine would be deemed to be a better punishment.
In other words, there is a great deal of power and responsibility in serving the Inquisition. If I show my Inquisitorial rosette, very few people would deny me what I want. However, the last thing we want is either to expose our own movements or to expose a large public to a heresy. And if you betray the responsibility or trust of the Inquisition, then, as they say, "May the Emperor have mercy on your soul... because we will not."

Re: 40k roleplay comments
And now, let us begin. Those we serve must be made too suffer, only then will they cry out to the Holy Emperor for his mercy.

Yeah, originally I was thinking of a tough as nails general maybe akin to General Duke from Star Craft. But I just think the more asshole character reflects his time running away from society.Deepcrush wrote: Most of the stuff you put in there is close to what I listed. And understood about the killing. Just wanted to know where we were. I was thinking a middle ground myself but you never know when a peasent says something rude.

One more question
Everyone on the retiune is equal in rank I assume correct? Then the Inquisitor is above them naturally.

Re: 40k roleplay comments
Nice, Monroe. Some type of flshback? There aren't ranks among the retinue as such, although some of you may have ranks from your IG careers. My char is an interrogator - like an apprentice inquisitor - so would head up the mission but doesn't really have the authority of a full inquisitor yet. Of course, inquisitors have the authority to order the completw destruction of all life on a planet...

So I figure I'll play Stig as a cross between a Fenrisian and a Catachan. So you can all expect drinking, looting (only the dead) and general manly idiocy.

Sounds good. I figure I didn't take you off that rock for your people skills, anyway. Hope you don't mind in the brief I picked a feral world in the Calixis sector.
