I wouldn't know, I've never looked for it. Not like she used a lot in the first place. It's just as likely that it's going to sit on the shelf for a decade or so and that he bought it just to have. He's got a bottle of beer from my wedding and that shit goes bad or badder (it was Bud).Mikey wrote:You can get $2 rum to bake with.

With money, my mother and father have been pretty blunt bout it.
"You aint getting nothing for one of two possibilities. one: we wont have any to give you. two: We're spending all of it, eff off and get your own."

Yeah, that's pretty much my folks' take. Can't blame them, though - they had nothing, and busted their humps to get what they have - they should enjoy it now.

my parents have said the only thing we're getting is the bills they're going to stop paying when they retire.

Well, training is going ok on the new job. They want to put me on live calls tomorrow, on a script. Other people seem more worried about it than I really am though. Answering calls and booking appointments ain't exactly rocket science

Dont call them morons either and you should be all good.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Be infuriatingly calm, even if the person on the other end of the phone is screaming obsceneties at you. From my experience in yelling at telemarketers, that's the sign of a good employee.

We're all looking at new cars now, as we need to get new ones to replace our two. The Chevrolet has been a severe let down, and the old Focus is just so damned inefficient. And as dad is changing his job relatively soon, he's gonna be doing longer range driving a lot more, so we are looking for Diesel models.

have fun with the car search Reliant...Mark, make sure you keep track of who your talking too. one of my best memories of the past five years is when a telemarketer would call, we'd give the phone to my four year old brother who would sit and try and engage the telemarketer in a conversation...
"That's neat, what's you name......do you like Disney Channel......Want to be my friend?"
and the telemarketers would just keep talking, not realizing who they were talking too.

Beware people like me though. I answer the phone when they call with one of those canned air horns.

That's great, Staplic.........I friggin' love it.
But, it's not exactly telemarketing. We're booking appointments as they call in, and call clients as a reminder when they are due for service. Most of these high end car owners really don't seem to sweat it too much.
