Mark - do it. You can't hold yourself back because of fear of the unknown. Besides, in this market, a job in the fixed ops side is a lot safer/potentially more profitable than one attached to sales.

It's the Ford Escort here in the U.S. I used to have an '89 Escort LX model with manual tranny and 14" tires. I could go anywhere in that baby because of the front wheel drive. And it handled pretty well for a compact because of the MacPherson struts all around. I miss that car.
It's gotten a bit chilly out here, and it snowed a couple of inches. I love it, but for the most part, people out here see a snowflake and freak out because they don't know how to drive in the white stuff, especially the Asian old women (no offense Tsu!).

Tsu is neither Asian (at least not majority,) nor old, nor a woman (although his future medical plans are none of my business.)

Remember what they say about assumptions.

Same Here. All of a sudden last night no one remembered how to drive... :bangwall: And this is the season I chose to get my learners permit...that was probably a mistake.

Well, you have to watch out for everyone else, but bad conditions are the best in which to learn. That way, normal conditions seem easy.

ya, I'll second what Mikey said.

I took drivers ed in the winter last year and, to be honest it wasn't that bad, but it seemed so much easier when summer came around.

and now that conditions are bad, I'm already on the back nine of the learning curve. :D
