Customer Care Representative. I'll be on the phone ALL day, scheduling service appointments for Mercedez-Benz, Jaguar, Land Rover, Big Island Honda, and soon Mercedez-Benz Maui. We make bonuses depending on how many appointments we book in a month. Sometimes we'll do some service solicitation as well.

I'm failing to see any relevant downside. :)

His new boss may be jerk. And he won't be able to post as much (downside for him, not us).

Always a risk. Don't let them push you around. I don't mean be a jerk back; I mean just ignore the attitude altogether and do your job.

Good. Now I can adjust my estimate of Mark overtaking me to sometime next summer instead of early February.

I don't see a down side either. Do it!

In other news, I had someone contact me about a couple videos I have on youtube. Apparently Discovery is making a new show about wacky inventions, and they might be interested in something I made a few years ago... I can't imagine my ugly mug being in TV, even if they just show a youtube video. And incidently, isn't it strange how so many shows just show youtube videos as part of their content these days? Isn't that like, sacrilegious to TV makers? At any rate this is a bit of an upper in a big fat downer of a year.

Dude, it's the Grundiguitar! I love it!!! :D Well done, man. I must admit, it looks... challenging to play.

And, "Owner of a Lonely Heart" was a nice choice. 8)

How'd you manage to amplify it? Just a mic connected to the amp?

It's stupidly hard to play. I'm probably going to rebuild it with stretchier string material, which will hopefully give each string more range.
You can make 'contact mics' really cheaply and easily, and stick them on pretty much anything and call it art. They pick up weak vibrations and are very sensitive, but since you build them cheap, they don't pick up as wide a range of frequencies as a good quality mic would.

Aaaaand procrastination has brought me to an all-nighter with my precious paper. Kid's, don't procrastinate. End public service announcement.

Ya, I procastinate way too much, I have one physics lab that was due over a month ago, and everything else I do, I do it so it'll be just barely on time, lol.
I can't help it, I'm just too lazy to handle the workload, but when it's really important I get it done and hand it in, otherwise it gets thrown on the backburner, which doesn't heat my ideas up too well, lol.

Mark: Congratulations. I'd advise you to go for it. More money is always nice, particularly given the way the economy's going.

Grundig: Meh, I went through all my life pulling all-nighters on papers, and I turned out fine. :P
