The same reason all Englishmen should know multiple languages.

:?
I don't get it.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

For God sake guys I can hardly write English, stop with all the jibberish! :P
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Well, for the best beer, you only need to know two words in Czech.

And one of them is the same as its English analog.

It's all about the beer baby. (Quoting Austin Powers)

I haven't been able to get on lately, not really unable to, just preoccupied with other stuff ( if you really want to know PM me). But yeah, school sucks, and that's just the start of it.
Just trying to throw us back on topic.

reliant, if you wish, we may be able to expand both our knowledges of foreign languages by messenger or pm talking solely in said language. you wouldn't need a language tutor in that way. ONly afterwards. :P

Of course Shran, a gracious offer :D I have your msn anyway, feel free to go for it :D

Some languages i want to learn for practicality. French or German, cause i would like to work their one day possibly, or because i know a few german and french speakers so i can have private conversation with them in public. Others, because i have a genuine interest in languages. I pick up things pretty easy, i can remember little phrases and words in a pretty decent number of languages.

Well, I'm up for a promotion/transfer at work. On the plus side it will mean more money and better advancement oppertunities, but on the down side, means I won't be able to post from work anymore......only from home :(

Well, there is always my off time and weekends to play catch up

But seriously, I'm a little apprehensive about moving into the "unknown". On one hand I CAN see it's a better oppertunity, and that department is growing quickly, but on the other, I've got two AWESOME supervisors right now, and I'm very good at what I do. Ah well, no guts no glory.

Go for it man. IMHO. In this economy, if you're not moving up you're moving down.

Don't second guess yourself. If you want more money (who doesn't?), go for it.

What's the job, again?
