Agreed. It fits well with his personality. I think they added Greedo's shot so that it was in self-defence. The added scene didn't even look good. The addition was so obvious. The rest of the added stuff was good IMO.Rochey wrote:Indeed.

I wonder what else could be changed in a re-make should some poor misguided soul decide to make it. First of all, the First Death Star Battle. The Squadrons should be turned back to the original colors. In the novel and original script Red Squadron was originally Blue Squadron(but that didn't work with Blue Screen technology) Gold Squadron was Red Squadron and there was mentions of Green and Yellow Squadron splitting the TIE squadron by attacking closer to the station's equator, if I remember correctly. I think there were also more survivors then the three fighters in the retreating scenes.

I agree. Leave a good thing alone! I didn't want to see a "good-guy, only-defending-myself" Han!
BTW, instead of replacing the Ewoks with Wookiees as scripted for the Battle of Endor, what about having the Wookiees fight the Ewoks? Oh, the imagery... round little Ewok heads, being tossed about like Celtic torcs by Wookiees whose fur is dyed with Ewok blood...

lol I like ROTJ for the opposite reason. It was the only one I didn't see through most my childhood. I remember seeing it when I was like 2 but not again until I was ilke in middleschool.RK_Striker_JK_5 wrote:I like ROTJ best, mostly because it was the only one I saw in its entirety from 1987 to 1997 or so.Rochey wrote:Indeed.

I voted for ESB because of the atmosphere of the picture - no real hopeful undervurrent - it really made you feel like the bad guys could win. For the nostalgia factor that some of you mentioned, though, I will never forgetgoing to see SW: ANH upon its theatrical release. I was five years old, and had never imagined that a movie could be like that.

Star Wars VI: Return of the Jedi is my #1 favorite SW film.
The big battle is, in my opinion, one of the best ever to appear on the screen.

Yeah, and its actually tense. Rather than; 'Screw the buzz droids! Show me some capship action!'

I liked the one in ROTS. It had a bit of everything. And it was relivant to the story. It elimainted Dooku and had Anakin take another step to the dark side.
What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

I liked it myself, I just didn't get the sense of chaos that I did from ROTJ, though.I liked the one in ROTS.
