Because Christmass is fun for people of all religions?
I guess it is - I especially like the food. My wife's family is of Ukrainian descent, and they do the traditional twelve meatless dishes for Christmas Eve - inlcuding the unstoppable flow of homemade pierogies!

But actually, the answer is simply the fact that my wife is a Byzantine Catholic.

What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Thorin, you missed the memo: Rochey and Teaos aren't actually real people but are creations of sophisticated automated program designed by Graham and Ian to create diametric opposition to various Trek issues, thus raising both post counts and interest in the site. However, their creation has since gotten out of control, and have assumed command positions on the USS DITL.

What? Who told you this?
Er...I mean, everyone carry on as normal. Nothing is different. I disagree with Teaos.

I want to present myself in the best possible light, so I'll post two four-year-old pictures. ;) The way l look now is far worse from what is depicted in these images, but I'm not going to show that to complete strangers.

Image

This one was taken in June 2003, at the end of grade 8. The girl is one of my best friends.

Image

This one was taken in what you from the West would call grade 9. I'm that tall guy in the middle wearing the red shirt ( ).

Dobriej! And you've got my photo up here - you could use boric acid for a facial toner, and you wouldn't look as bad as me.

At least none of us look as bad as Marina Sirtis did in "These are the Voyages..."

I'll have to get on when I get some pics of me in the professional wardrobe.

Is that Polish? Protoslavic didn't break into individual languages before the end of the 3rd century CE, so all of us Slavs have such similar languages.

In some form or another, it's Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, and Old Slavonic (the original ecclesiastical language of my wife's church.)
