No idea. They probably fluctuate wildly every day.

I was speaking more in terms of the kind of deal a Ferengi would negotiate over such a thing - they'd be wont to charge a bar of Latinum just to sit at the negotiating table, and there's no guarantee that the weapons or such would work, etc. It boggles the mind how these guys stay in business, and avoid getting wiped out in war by the wrong sort of enraged customer.

They are in business for the same reason as most big Corp. Because if they don't have it they can get it and you need it so you'll buy from them if you like it or not.

That's why I still trip out on Damon Bok. He had the friggin' Stargazer, with all of that still somewhat intact Starfleet tech that Picard had so moronicaly left abandoned and adrift. He could have made a friggin' fortune selling that tech to the Romulans, Cardies, Breen, or any of the other hostile powers. I guess we was TRUE INSANITY as it would manafest in a Ferengi.

He thought it was destroyed.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Didn't we have this discussion before? Picard should have stayed in the area to ensure the ship was destroyed.

Or at the very least set the self-destruct to make sure.

We did. Blackstar argued that it was more important that Picard save his crew as soon as possible, as opposed to spending a few more minutes in the area to ensure the ships destruction.

Ah, yes. Ignoring, of cuorse, the fact that Picard could have just stayed behind on his own in a shuttle to watch.

That would have been to logical. We also mentioned if they were in a REAL hurry, they could have used the shuttles phasers to blow the thing apart. But the Chakat thought that those couple of extra minutes could have led to the baddies arriving on sceen and capturing them, or some such.

Also, we don't know if shuttles had phasers in that era. Still, he could've done something to ensure it's destruction. Must be some timers somewhere aboard a starship...

Rig a photon to blow?
Or even a series of plasma conduits in engineering?
