Let's not forget that the people Paramount wants to win back are the more casual fans and not the (I say this kindly) nutheads like us who devote our time to debating technical minutiae in the Trek universe...

It sucks to say, but no matter how much we complain, they already have us
They say that in the Army,
the women are mighty fine.
They look like Phyllis Diller,
and walk like Frankenstein.

Re: The Motion Picture Vs. Star Trek 11
The irony of that is the fact that ENT, which was supposed to bring in new, casual viewers ended up alienating a good deal of the fan base. Hopefully they won't do the same here.Let's not forget that the people Paramount wants to win back are the more casual fans and not the (I say this kindly) nutheads like us who devote our time to debating technical minutiae in the Trek universe...

What does defeat mean to you?
Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

No trees were killed in transmission of this message. However, some electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

That's a new sort of typo, Teaos.

What? I'm sorry, I was trying to post and watch TV at the same time.

I'm guessing 11 won't put me to sleep like TMP did.
Don't you hear my call, though you're many years away, don't you hear me calling you?
