The mysterious station

Post by Mark »

What do you all supose ever happened to that "magical" space station that tried to kidnap Mayweather, and Enterprise left repairing itself? That was kind of a stupid loose end in my opinion. After all, if Enterprise first discovered it, it really can't be THAT far from Earth by the 24th century standards can it?

Kirk came across it one day and blew the whole thing into vapour. Then he had sex with some alien women.

So just an average day for Kirk?

 I was watching TOS: "The Deadly Years" this morning, and a scene actually followed Kirk to his quarters simply for the gratuitous opportunity to watch Kirk change his shirt.

Anyway -

Plot drive factor 5 you mean.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Kirk saw it had no women on board and so destroyed it.

It wasn't quantum or Kirk, it was stellar drift. Stellar drift in Star trek happens at warp speed.
Alternatively, the station deduced that humans will tell everybody in the radius of 500 ly about it, thus spoiling it's bussines, and decided to warp away. At plot factor 5.
Or Kirk came along and vaporised it.

Kirk came along prior to his captincy, and out-talked the computer, thus causing the station to self destruct. This event will actually be depicted in the new Star Trek movie, debuting in may of 2009. :poke:
