Yeah he just has a slow turn over on new polls. There will be a new one soonish probably.
What does defeat mean to you?

Nothing it will never come. Death before defeat. I don’t bend or break. I end, if I meet a foe capable of it. Victory is in forcing the opponent to back down. I do not. There is no defeat.

Anyone know if there's any talk of it on MA?

LOL

I have been looking at this forum and thinking "my, that water tractor thread is busy, I can't imagine why they would want to talk about water tractors so much." Just now is the first time I actually clicked on it!

You guys are so nuts. I love you guys!

#1 - What exactly is a "water tractor?" Is that British for a tugboat?

#2 - I'm still waiting to post my designs for the water tractor, which I don't know what it is.

#3 - We love you too, Graham - just not THAT way. Maybe we should just be friends.

#4 - It's not cheating, it's cooperative effort. :happydevil:

Lord no, nothing so sensible,

During the first world war they gave a code name to the tank in developemnt rather than call it the name of landship they wanted to call (secrecy and what not).
Quote from a site on tank history - http://www.firstworldwar.com/weaponry/tanks.htm
They therefore commissioned Lieutenant Walter Wilson of the Naval Air Service and William Tritton of William Foster & Co., based in Lincoln, to produce the first landship in secrecy. Its codename, given because the shape of the shell resembled water carriers, was 'tank'; the name, assigned in December 1915, stuck.
The russians in WWII used their existing heavy tractor production facilities to build tanks and even something called "artillery tractors" (basically tracked tractors to tow guns behind)

So I just balled the the two names together and suggested it as our operational name for the otherwise too sensible sounding "Operation become bestest trek site and forum in the world" and giving the game away if someone came snooping

OK. I was familiar with how the tank came to be called the tank; I just didn't recognize the combination term "water tractor."

To be honest if logic came into it, it wouldn't be called what it was, just the first semi cryptic thing came to mind. Besides the point it got you into thinking up designs for all sorts of weird and wonderful aquatic agricultural equipment did it not :) Can't wait to see em.

Great, I've now started trying to think up designs for an underwater tractor because of you lot.

Well, I wouldn't exactly say we're cheating. I'd say we changed the conditions of the test.

it's only cheating if we had to hack the survey to vote again. It's not our fault we were smart enough to use new computers. :DITL:
