Re: The Youtube video thread!

I honestly can't believe I haven't posted this earlier. TBF - Data It's a song about everyone's favourite android by one of the crazier local bands - TBF (The Beat Fleet). I did my best to translate the lyrics, but I'm just a third year student and no poet, so cut me some slack. And I know it doesn'...

Re: Worst fan-ships?

Pardon the thread necromancy, but I just had to share this. In found it on the shipschematics.net site back in 2003 or 2004.

I'll try fixing that by saying that I find the Galaxy very beautiful. In fact, it's one of my favourite starships. Now you can all disagree with me and fix the universe.

Unfortunately, some people don't grasp the concept of representative sample. Or any other aspect of the scientific method, for that matter.

In fact, we don't have any canon information on the relative capabilities of a Nebula and a Galaxy, so I'll happily keep up my personal speculation that the Nebula is the more sensibly designed equal of the prestigious Galaxy. :) Actually, that would be the logical conclusion since the only differe...

Particularly, I was alarmed that it was possible for the Breen to inflict so much damage on the surface before their fleet was wiped out. Much damage? They destroyed the Golden Gate bridge and damaged a few buildings. You'd expect a lot more damage from ships with megaton-level torpedoes and beam w...

I second that proposal. Although I don't think you're overloading anything with such great designs.

I have empirical evidence that this study is wrong: I don't have cancer. ;) No, really, I've been staying up late for the past five years. If this study was true, I'd be worm food by now.

I don't want to start a ST vs. SW argument (never really liked them), but if my knowledge of laser principles is correct, SW "lasers" are not really what we know as lasers. For one thing, they're too slow and too visible. I'll stop here.

Since Tsukiyumi had mentioned the possibility that the fabric of the universe might rend, and since Data using contractions would cause a similar effect, why on Earth did you ask a question with such an obvious answer?

I second that. It's great to finally see a workable fleet. I was always a fan of big and mighty space battleships, but fleets with gazillions of Ãœber-class planet-destroying superdreadnoughts you find all over the Internet, besides being incredibly unrealistic and childish, are unworkable due to la...

Wow, I'm amazed! It's very refreshing to find something so original when 90% of all designs on the Internet are ugly kitbashes.

Well, the Croatian Academic and Research Network is connected to the GEANT2 network using two multiple 10Gbps wavelengths dark-fibre links, so I shouldn't have any problems in the foreseeable future. I do sympathize with you, however.
