Re: Episode nits on the main site
Not a major thing, just a couple thoughts which I think should be considered for addition into the YATI sections of these episodes. :) In the episode "Pen Pals", Data has extended the range and usability to the sensors. Even going so far as to have pieces of the sensor system lying about o...

Re: Poll ideas
Of course. Nitpicking typos seems to be my thing, might as well put it to use.

Re: Poll ideas
Small nit: The poll for August 2015 has "Jeal Luc Picard" listed. Pretty sure that's supposed to be Jean-Luc Picard. XD

Re: Episode nits on the main site
Series: ST: VOY Episode: Message In a Bottle Under the photos, labelled as "Sci-Tech" you have a photo of the micro-wormhole Voyager discovered in the episode "Eye of the Needle". Not sure why this is in the "Message in a Bottle" photos... Is the site just glitchy, or i...

Re: Episode nits on the main site
Me too. If it DID replicate anything, it simply recycled what it created. Ok, but that would only work if what was made in the holodeck stayed in the holodeck. Also, on the subject of malfunctions, our computers, when an error is made in something like Internet Explorer, can very often shut down ev...

Re: Episode nits on the main site
Well, if a replicator can recycle food and other items, including items which it doesn't create, couldn't it recycle people?Mark wrote:I've never understood the whole "recycling" people in the holodeck if it's shut down improperly.

Re: Episode nits on the main site
Thanks, IanKennedy for pointing out the encyclopedia... Methinks I need to get acquainted with it. However, Mikey, I still think that sealing the holodeck off could be a logical primary failsafe. As I've already stated, it would keep whatever might be lethal inside the holodeck and doesn't allow it ...

Holodecks and replicators
Not sure if this is quite a nit, but maybe a couple people can help out a bit... I'd love the input! :) First, in the episode "Datalore", it is established that Data can't use contractions. However, when Data beams his twin out into space, the captain asks if he's alright, to which he resp...

Re: Episode nits on the main site
Thank you Captain Seafort for keeping me on my toes! :) I'm in the USA, and according to the Holt, Rinehart and Winston Elements of Language: Introductory Course Chapter 22, Page 606 (see http://my.hrw.com/la/elot/0030526620/student/ch22/lg1n22606_608.pdf for my source) "Use a hyphen with compo...

Re: Episode nits on the main site
First off, thank you Mikey for pointing out my own grammatical error. I was in a hurry at that point and decided to sacrifice the conventions of grammar for something that most people could still understand... But I'm glad people are awake! Haha... On another note, under the page pertaining to the E...

Re: Episode nits on the main site
Whoa! I missed a big one here... Shame on me! First off, under the description for Chroniton Torpedoes, it says that Kes used a tricorder to determine the temporal flux of the torpedo in Voyager. I believe Kes had already left Voyager by then. Instead, it was Seven of Nine who scanned the torpedo, w...

Re: Episode nits on the main site
Another series of nits from yours truly... Under episode morals (see 'TNG: A Matter of Time' or 'Moral: CONMEN') it says "Charm and a little knowledge does mean they're really from the future." Shouldn't it say "does NOT mean"? To me the sentence is a bit awkward as it stands rig...

Re: Weekly Poll
I'm not sure if this is the right place to do this, but I have a suggestion for the polls... They have been doing a best/worst *insert position here* right? Well, what if for once they did a poll about the best-looking or weidest crew memeber of star trek? Or maybe a three part poll instead of the u...

Re: Caption Competition
Ok, the current poll is about the worst Trek opening theme. Anybody other than me notice that the current loser (Enterprise) is the only one with actual lyrics? TNG and TOS (I think? It's been a while...) have spoken intros, but no lyrics. DS9 and VOY have no words of any kind... and Enterprise, the...
