I was surprised about Lorca being Mirror Lorca. First surprise since the begining of this show. I did not saw that coming.
I haven't watch the last episode yet.

Re: Rumours, news and general speculation
There are thousands of ship designs made by fans, some of them are quite good and prefessional. They could use one of those desings or maybe make a design competition so the winner gets to sell his desing to the show.

Re: Making the Romulan War not like the Dominion War
They had cloaks but the Enterprise had that thing to look through the cloak, at least at short range. They could see through the early Romulan cloak to a degree. The point wasn't about the effectiveness of the cloak, but that Spock explicitly stated that invisibility was only a theoretical possibil...

Re: Star Trek Un-remastered
Awesome, all those were great sci fi, all of them long before my time but still i love them. I would add Logan's Run and BSG.Varthikes wrote:I'll be watching it alongside other 1960s era television (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, Lost in Space, The Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants)

Re: Making the Romulan War not like the Dominion War
I believe the Romulan ships in Ent. Had cloaks but its been a long time since I've seen that episode. They did, as did the Suliban ships. It's also true that the BoP in Balance of Terror was the first evidence the Federation encountered to have a cloak - before that invisibility was only a theoreti...

Re: Borg insider
SF can not stand a full assault by the borg. We don´t know how many ships do they had before their war with 8472 (or after) but just a couple of dozens of cubes should be enough to defeat SF (PIS aside of course). On the other hand, we don't know how assimilation process works at planetary scale, ho...

Re: Nominate the coolest ships in sci fi
Hardly, it was more suspense than action, and people expected action, so were let down It was slow. People expected what SG-1 and SG-A was and didn't get it. I wouldn't say boring but it was slow. It was slow yes. And not as funny like SG1 or SGA but they but, what woud you have done? Another show ...

Re: Nominate the coolest ships in sci fi
I do like the Destiny ship, loved that series. Seconded. I loved SG:Universe as well, although it was quite different in tone from the previous SG-1 and Atlantis series. I found the acting very convincing, very natural - however I think we are in a minority. Most reviews are rather negative... Too ...

Re: Post Enterprise size
Are all the ships we get to see in ST XI and Into the Darkness as big as new Enterprise or even Vengance? If ships that big are a new feature in SF (after the Narada incident) as we believe, where are all the older/smaller ships like the Kelvin? They must be still serving, or is the whole fleet that...
