Re: Let's fix Voyager
I think I would have played Janeway as being too well connected for her own good. Basically that she was being groomed to be an admiral from the time she entered starfleet. She was given assignments hand picked to allow her to advance easily, always had someone looking over her shoulder to keep her ...

Re: A thought on the BOP
I like the idea of the Klingons having a regular millitary supported by millitias fielded by the various houses. It could explain some of the BOP scaling issues, as well as the unnaturally long service life of the D7/K'T'inga. If individual houses are fielding their own millitias, then it would make...

Re: Well, My Opinion Of The US Public Just Went Down Again...
Part of the problem with the discussion of evolution is semantics. I've attended some very theologically conservative churches and heard arguments about evolution several times. The people that I have heard discuss it have used the terms Macro and Micro Evolution, where Micro Evolution is the gradua...

Re: Sol post Dominion War.
Wouldn't the breen energy dampening weapon still have been a factor during their attack on earth? If so, then they would have had a tactical advantage over any defensive forces. Since they didn't do too much damage, it would seem to me that they were probably engaged at some distance from earth and ...

Re: Steamrunner, Norway, and Saber Class.......what's the point?
Maybe the attack on earth was more of an attempt to make the UFP pull ships off the front lines. Send just enough ships to fight a running battle to earth and get off a few strikes against ground targets before they are destroyed. The polititans demand more protection, forcing the fleet to split it'...

I think the seagull would be a good starting point for designing an early Klingon Bird of Prey.

Re: What would YOU do to make Enterprise?
I like all of it but the Earth & her allies part. I think we've covered this before but it was called the Earth-Romulan War. Other then that its not a bad setup. Essentially what I have in mind, is that for the entire first half of the war, the allies of earth are extremely minor players. Kind ...

Re: What would YOU do to make Enterprise?
I think that I would make the ship look something like the Neptune Class because it makes me think of a space shuttle with nacelles. The main anti-ship weapon would be a massive foward firing laser. The other fields of fire would be covered by railguns/coilguns or some future equivalent. There would...

Re: New Star Trek Series
Interesting. I'm getting some post-WW2 Germany vibes, what with the CU being divided up amongst the conquering powers. I was definately thinking post WW2 Germany. welcome Eagle, that multi-ship fleet is similar to what I was thinking for my series as well. :) I like the idea of a multi ship fleet b...

Re: New Star Trek Series
I would set a new series about 25 years post dominion war. The premise would be that a small federation fleet, maybe 7 ships altogether, would leave from DS9 to explore beyond the cardassian union. Early on it would be established that after the dominion war, sanctions were levied against the cardas...
