Re: RP characters
For some reason I'm becoming less and less interested. I'll think I'll sit this one out.

Re: Knight Rider
Great episode, but damn Michael looks ridicuous in that body armour. Not a bad scene though, especially the break out. And the Robotic Karr isn't quite as silly as I thought it would be. Would have been nice to have him stick around for a few episodes though. He'll be back...if they get renewed for...

Lord of the Rings movies, Harry Potter movies, and Titanic. Titanic should end like this.

Re: If the Connie is the 'E-nill', wha'ts the NX-01?
Wait, how did we go from the short hand for the NX-01 to talking about the federation having 150 worlds means there are 150 different species in the Federation?

Relative to everywhere else life could evolve?Mikey wrote:"Relatively small area" relative to what? I'd call the bulk of a quarter of the galaxy a large area indeed.

Re: If the Connie is the 'E-nill', wha'ts the NX-01?
My reason for thinking this is that all the information on the supposed physical size of the federation seems too small for an incredible 150 different species. But it's just a theory. Space, as Douglas Adams would say, is big. Really big. Given that the core worlds are only a few dozen light years...

Re: RP characters
Wait a minnim. PR is talking about his Errol-Flynn-in-space character, but I thought the gist of this was to play as ships, meybe even eventually task groups if we're succesful enough. I'm not sure who Errol Flynn is but I'm assuming he's some sort of swordsman. In any case, if we go in a universe ...

Re: RP characters
It seems that we are leaning to SW. Sword based characters could be Jedi, Dark Jedi, sith, Gray Jedi, Jensaarai, Imperial Knight or Noghri. Thats all I can think of for now. All of which can be ship bound and serve in fleet matters. I think Grey Jedi is relativly close to how I'd be. And they aren'...

Re: RP characters
Well, if we do a Star Trek RP I think I can come up with a well-balance swordsman-type character but a SW swordsman would be a lot easier.Tsukiyumi wrote:In a SW RP, there'd be plenty of room for a swordsman-type character. Me, I'm sticking with my trusty blaster.

Re: What would YOU do in the Kobayashi Maru test?
Ex.: John Kennedy commanded a PT boat (PT-109) during WWII. He was a lieutenant in rank, but he was the "captain" of the boat. If an admiral were aboard, Kennedy would still command the ship, although he would have to take orders as to the mission, targets, etc. from the admiral. *EDIT* I...

Re: RP characters
I think the universe is really secondary to the game system. PR - yeah, I'm with Tsu. What kind of master swordsman is there in 'Trek - and what exactly would that accomplish in ship-to-ship fighting? Maybe a ship designed specifically for boarding an enemy vessel? An enemy vessel is worth more int...

Re: What would YOU do in the Kobayashi Maru test?
Well, I think(could be wrong) that in some militaries you can have the rank of captain but be subordinate to a lower rank of officer commanding the ship. I'm not sure of the specifics and I actually only read it in one novel, but my thinking is the command track is specifically to be commanding a s...
