The Klingon Narendra III outpost is destroyed by a fleet of four Romulan warbirds. The Enterprise-C sacrifices itself in defence of the outpost. Although the ship fails to save the planet, the act is regarded as a highly honourable one by the Klingons and serves to greatly diffuse the recent high tensions between the two powers. In the aftermath of the battle, an alternate timeline version of Natasha Yar is captured by the Romulans. A Romulan General takes a liking to her, and she agrees to be his consort in return for the lives of the other Enterprise-C survivors being spared. [1]
