Plotline

Caleb Mir and his mother, are held for the murder of a Starfleet officer. She is sent to prison and he is split from her and Starfleet looses track of him. Fifteen years later he is rediscovered and is offered to join the first new Starfleet Academy class in San Francisco in over a century.
