Of any of the Star Trek shows I have seen, this episode is the one I think of first. If you are not moved by the story and the acting then IMHO you are not a true Star Trek fan. Forget the cool ships, battles, hot women, etc. It is simply the best Star Trek episode ever. |

This is one of the best episodes of TNG and probably Trek in general. It's not typical Trek, its your ideal Trek. It took an off the wall idea and made it great. Stewart's acting is wonderful here and he really sells the role. It also gives Picard something he never, a family. Great stuff over all. |

This episode borders on heart-wrenching. One of the most emotional Trek episodes of any franchise. Also, very good in keeping with the Enterprise's mission to seek out new life and new civilizations, where ever they may be. The ending is classic; the presentation of the flute to Picard. Absolutely timeless and everything that is Trek. |

I disagree with Mr. Kennedy's opinion that Darmok was the best of trek. As others have stated above, this was probably the best episode or movie of ANY trek incarnation. Superior writing combined with superior acting made this, in my opinion, treks finest hour. |
