Review : This is a very well written and extremely thoughtful book and I would certainly consider it as canon. The book takes each of the main Voyager characters in turn and explores them in rich, powerful and emotional depth, framed by an interesting story where the entire crew is captured and deposited on an open prison world. The crew's life stories range from funny to harrowing, with Harry Kim and Neelix in particular offering a surprising and perspective-changing inisight which should certainly have been explored in the TV series. Neelix's story in particular is a masterpiece of dark tragedy although it may be too distressing to some readers. I can GUARANTEE Neelix would have had a better reception from viewers if we had seen this side of him in the TV show. Please buy this book, I loved it and have read it many times. In fact I might dust it off and start it again today.
